The Chesterton Academy education utilizes the time-honored tradition of the Socratic Dialogue to engage students in learning. Come to this evening of Socratic discussion for teens, and experience how this type of intellectual discussion works firsthand. This will be our first in a series of Philosophy Nights, each focused on a particular topic of interest, classic or modern. Your teen will engage with their peers, learning how to agree and disagree with intelligence and class, and wrestling with topics such as:
Does objective truth exist - and can we even know?
Are some types of music really better or worse than others?
What is the best form of government?
Do video games and social media have value for society?
Is evolution compatible with Christianity?
What does ‘equality’ between men and women mean?
This event is limited to 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders only. We only have 20 seats available, so you must RSVP. Snacks will be provided.
